The offer
To support the ongoing growth of our client, a company specializing in industrial contracting and petrochemical facility maintenance, we are looking for an Industrial Boilermaker-Welder (m/f) to work across various industrial sites in the Le Havre area.
Reporting to the team leader or site supervisor, you will be responsible for boilermaking, assembly, and welding work on industrial equipment and metal structures, adhering strictly to the quality and safety standards required in industrial environments.
Profile
Qualifications and experience:
– Vocational qualification or diploma (CAP, BEP, or vocational Baccalaureate) in industrial boilermaking, welding, metal fabrication, or equivalent.
– At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
– Experience in heavy industry, petrochemical plants, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
– Proficient in reading isometric and fabrication drawings.
– Technical skills: Proficiency in TIG, MIG/MAG, and/or MMA (arc) welding processes.
– Good knowledge of metals and their properties.
– Strong command of layout, cutting, forming, and assembly techniques.
– Ability to produce high-quality welds in compliance with site requirements.
– Strong awareness of industrial safety standards.
– Desired certifications: Valid welding certificates corresponding to the required processes.
– N1 or N2 petrochemical safety clearance depending on site requirements.
– ATEX certification / Working at heights and safety harness training is an asset.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities:
– Read and interpret technical drawings and boilermaking blueprints.
– Carry out marking out, cutting, and metal forming tasks.
– Perform cutting, bending, rolling, and fitting of metal parts.
– Assemble metal units and sub-assemblies by tack welding and full welding.
– Perform welding operations using TIG, MIG/MAG, and MMA (stick/arc) processes according to project requirements.
– Carry out repair and modification work on industrial equipment.
– Work on piping, supports, and structural steelwork.
– Inspect the conformity and quality of finished welds and assemblies.
– Carry out finishing and grinding operations.
– Adhere to site safety procedures and specific petrochemical safety regulations.
– Keep your workstation clean and organized.
