Machinist grinder (Any gender)

As part of a long-term assignment for one of our industrial clients based in Port-Jérôme-sur-Seine (76), we are looking for a Machinist Grinder: GER 1000 Surface Grinder Specialist (m/f).

Reporting to the workshop supervisor, you will work independently on precision surface grinding operations. You will ensure the dimensional and geometric compliance of machined parts, adhering strictly to quality standards and industrial safety regulations.

Responsive and readily available, you are able to integrate quickly into an experienced team and become fully operational from day one.

Education and experience:

• You hold a vocational diploma (such as CAP, BEP, or vocational Baccalaureate) in machining, mechanical production, or equivalent.
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist grinder, ideally operating surface grinders.
• Experience on a GER 1000 surface grinding machine is highly valued and will be a major advantage for your application.
• Experience in a demanding industrial environment is a plus.

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in setting up and operating a surface grinder.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and instruction sheets.
• Sound knowledge of materials, grinding wheels, and cutting parameters.
• Proficiency with measuring and dimensional inspection tools (micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges).
• Knowledge of safety standards in a machine shop environment.

• Prepare and set up the GER 1000 surface grinding machine according to manufacturing instructions.
• Perform surface grinding operations on mechanical parts within required tolerances.
• Read and interpret manufacturing drawings to ensure part compliance.
• Inspect dimensions and surface finish quality using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Detect and report any non-conformities or dimensional deviations.
• Perform basic preventive machine maintenance (first-level maintenance).
• Keep the workstation clean and organized in accordance with standard operating procedures.
