Shipyard fitter – black steel

Our client specializes in the production of vessels for the coast guard and the military. They prioritize the high quality standards required by the defense industry. They are currently looking for experienced hull fitters to work on ongoing projects.

Key responsibilities

The employee will be responsible for the prefabrication and assembly of vessel components based on technical drawings and plans. All work is performed on black steel of varying thicknesses. The shipyard focuses exclusively on new builds and does not perform repairs or refits.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a shipyard fitter,
• Ability to read technical drawings,
• Proficiency in tack welding.

Nice to have (but not required):

• Driver’s license,
• Knowledge of English or French.

• Salary of €3,250 net per month based on a 43-hour work week,
• French employment contract,
